Quarter 2: Post 1

NHL Hockey Season Start.

Hello blog viewers. This week i have an update on the recent start of the NHL Season which was last thursday.

So Changes this season is what you may be wondering about. Well, there are a lot. The leagues worst team for the past 3 years currently holds the best record in the League at 4-0. This team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. Toronto is doing very well this year and with acquisition of Kris Versteeg from the Stanley Cup Champs of the 09-10 season was a very smart choice made by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The san jose sharks are doing alright as they are 1-0-1. they lost to the Colombus Blue jackets in a shoot-out. The sharks will next play on saturday and that game is against

As For the Anaheim ducks, they have produced a huge comeback as i have no words to describe it
Watch for yourself here

And heres how the Comeback Started

Why I Dont Like the Sharks

So Many people have asked me the question, "Why would you live in San Jose and be a Ducks Fan"
The Ducks and the Sharks are bitter rivals and the answer that I would give to most people on that question is that i have been a ducks fan since I was 5 years old. I think that for every sport, that the first team you have ever supported should be the only team you fully support. Now i do consider my self a partial sharks fan for living in the bay area. But if i were given a choice to chose a team between the two it would definitely be the Anaheim Ducks

NHL 1 More Week Until Season Opener

I am really excited for the NHL Season opener which will happen in 9 days, Next friday is the Season-Opener. This week, the Anaheim ducks got Thrashed in the preseason by the rivals Los Angeles Kings. Duck lost 8-3 against the kings which is an amazingly high score. But since it is preseason, it doesn't really matter that much.
The sharks had 2 games this week. Both were against the Same team, Vancouver Canucks, Sharks lost first one 3-1 but came strong Wednesday and won 6-1 against the Canucks.

So i am pretty excited about the season opener, hope you are too =D

Week 6: NHL Origin for me

PERSONAL HOCKEY INFO: First Hockey Game!!

So the NHL Preseason has finally started. Yaay. Now you should know Why i like hockey and How it all started for me

My Favorite Team is the Anaheim Ducks. Now you are Probably wondering, "why does he like the a team in So-cal". Well, I have an answer to that. When I was 5 years old I came to the United States Of America, Irvine was where i resided until i was 9 years old. So one day my dad takes me to a game of hockey. Both me and him were surprised to see such a weird sport in such a cold arena. Then the game started and every now and then we heard some horns and everyone was standing up and cheering. It took 4 of these for me to realize that someone from the ducks had scored a goal. Since then i have loved Hockey and the Anaheim ducks. Occasionally, No scratch that, I really never liked supporting the San Jose Sharks because they were utter rivals with the Ducks, but since i moved to San Jose bay Area,  I have been forced to.

Technology Special

iPhone 4 Review.

So on September 16th 2010 it will be my first week on the iPhone 4.

The Good:
It is a very good touch screen phone and also a very good smart phone. The graphics on the phone are amazing and the Video Camera Quality is Recorded in full 720P (HD) and the camera is a 5MP camera with flash. There will be a test video underneath to show you the quality of this stunning masterpiece camera.

                                          iPhone 4 HD Video Test.

The Bad:
The signal is atrocious. I get 1 bar at my house when my hand is on the side metal band. 50% of the calls in my room get dropped. Outside the house it has decent signal, but on a comparison I did with the iPhone 4 and 3G and will show you the signal isn't equal in my room, the rest of the rooms in my house and Outside.

Overall:
The iPhone 4 is a very good investment,  but it faces signal issues in many areas. Actually the signal is totally dependent on where you put your finger while your calling. If you try talking on an iPhone 4 like you do on your current phone…you will most likely lose signal.I haven't gotten accustomed to the positioning of my finger so the signal is a problem for me.  Overall the touch screen, apps, HD Video, and stunning Display overweigh the Bad.
My TOTAL RATING: 9/10

Week 3: Offsides

This week I will Discuss Offsides

Offsides in NHL is when one player crosses the Blue-Line before the puck gets their. A player has to cross the line with the puck. Here is the official rule From NHL website

layers of the attacking team must not precede the puck into the attacking zone.
The position of the player’s skates and not that of his stick shall be the determining factor in all instances in deciding an off-side. A player is off-side when both skates are completely over the leadingedge of the blue line involved in the play.
A player is on-side when either of his skates are in contact with, or on his own side of the line, at the instant the puck completely crosses the leadingedge of the blueline regardless of the position of his stick. However, a player actually controlling the puck who shall cross the line ahead of the puck shall not be considered “off-side,” provided he had possession and control of the puck prior to his skates crossing the blue line.
This occurs a lot and when you watch a game you will see how frequently it occurs. This also occurs in a Stoppage of Play.

Hockey Basics: Face-Off

WEEK 2 (8/30/10- 9/6/10)

Face-off:

Hockey Game Faceoff
It is the Basic method of starting a play in hockey. In the beginning of the game the ref Drops the puck between the two Teams Center men. They then have to try to swat the puck over to their side of the circle and get it to one of their team mates.

Another word for face-off is a Draw and it usually starts off a period or resumes play. Usually the home team player gets to put his stick on the ice first because that usually gives a very slight advantage to the home team player. This requires a very good Reaction time to get the puck in time.
